What a fantastic short break! We've been to The Broads for years and this is the first houseboat we've had as a family. We had "Wroxham" which is the 8th and last houseboat in the row. Defo the best one in my opinion as it's the furthest from the busy road and has uninterrupted views from the balcony. Each houseboat comes with a paddle boat which was brilliant fun. The cabin has a well equipped kitchen, leccy is paid in £1 coins via meter, to give you an idea we used about £2 per day but never used the TV. There's no signal so be prepared to totally switch off and plug into nature instead...far more interesting and rewarding. There's a Gulf garage with a Premier Shop within walking distance to get all your staples. Wayford Inn next door do delicious meals and great breakfasts. The fishing is really good considering. Best time to fish 6-7am and 4-6pm pretty much all Perch and Roach. Loads of wildlife with an otter, resident kingfishers and a daily heron! The cabin has been described by others as run down...not true, these are basic wooden cabins, well equipped with large showers, running water and a loo that works. The beds are Premier Inn comfy but I slept fine. I actually allowed my shoulders to drop from being up around my ears...that's how de-stressing these 4 nights were. Great value for money, will definitely want to return 👍🏻

We had a great weekend away, nice houseboats, not bad fishing from the balcony (4 fish) fun little row boats. No phone signal on EE bare in mind but we bought our own router so had our own wifi so could run our business while being away. Would stay here again nice and peaceful

Lovely houseboats, clean, well stocked and comfy. We were visited by swans every morning. Every house has its own dinghy. Easy access to many beautiful places in Norfolk broads. The grassy river bank with woods is an ideal place for kids to play. We had a lovely family holiday!

Settee old and impossible to sit on. Taps ridiculous. My main bugbear was filthy cookware. Brought my own cutlery and fry pan. The extractor fan was held together. With thick grease. Inside was clean and warm. Windows were rotten and panes were filthy. Wants painting old and tired. The location was good loved being woken by sheep bleating. Balcony of no use. Told not to use it. Fishing from bank OK. The rep who showed us the boat looked like farmer Giles.i would have expected suited and booted. A haven for lovers of arachnids. Wouldn't stay here again

The River Lodges are old, neglected, filthy and nothing can describe the foul smell. Mixture of tobacco and wet dog. We couldn't stand to stay in there. We were so uncomfortable. The beds are old and knackered, the bedding was tatty and dirty and should be incinerated. Such a shame because the location is fab. All anyone ever wants is clean accommodation. Clearly there is no re-investment here. Very tired and un-cared for. Cob-webbs, mould. Would definitely avoid at all costs.
